kernels
My dad had a special word for those partially-popped popcorn kernels lurking at the bottom of every bowl of popcorn. We both really liked them, despite the potential for dental disaster. I wish I hadn't forgotten quite so much of his vocabulary.
We always called them "Old Maids".
ReplyDeleteAnd considering both mine and my Mom's penchant for chewing ice cubes, they were a highly coveted item in a shared popcorn bowl.
