Not that it was beautiful but that, in the end, there was a certain sense of order there, something worth learning.

This reminds me of the time I lost my first tooth. I was in a Mexican restaurant with my parents and Grandmother, and being the 4-year old that I was I had ordered grilled-cheese with french fries. While eating, upon a strange discovery I declared that there was a bone in my french fry. My parents took it out to investigate, and learned that it was my own tooth.
Aww. I lost a tooth in Mohegan Lake once when my friend Amy and I crashed into each other under water. I was worried the tooth fairy wouldn't come since we never did find the tooth, but lo and behold, there was a dollar under my pillow the next morning anyway.
