on the bus

I know in some parts of the world it is normal to go to work in the dark at this time of year, but there was something very disconcerting about being on the bus so early today that it was too dark outside to see through the glare of the bus lights on the windows.

I love riding the bus to work and watching the world go by, but I do not love the world watching me go by, caged there in the lights on the bus.

Luckily it is not often that I have to leave at 6:45am to get to work.

Just caught up on all your recent posts, and in lieu of commenting on all of them (sorry, still jet lagged and lazy*), I will say here that I liked them all. Especially about the early mornings, and the post about your father. I'm Christian, but have mixed feelings about pigs...

*Thanks for your note! I got back home last night, and unfortunately I don't think I got to visit the castle you mentioned. I wasn't in charge of the itinerary, and the towns we visited were Edinburgh, Dundee, St Andrews, and Gullane.
